Change the Computer Name. You may wish to do this if a User has the same name as the computer name, this is not allowed, so one has to be changed.

Back up any files and settings first.

Step 1: Back up all files and settings

Back up all files and settings. Better to be safe than sorry.

Step 2: Click on Start

Click on Start
Click on My Computer

Step 3: Right click and select Properties

In the window Right click and select Properties
The System Properties box should pop-up.

Step 4: Select the Computer Name Tab

Step 5: Near the bottom click the Change button

Near the bottom click the Change button

Step 6: Enter the new Computer Name

Enter the new Computer Name

Step 7: Finish off

Click OK
Then Click OK to close the System Properties box
Re-boot.
